A National Curling championship is coming back to Saskatchewan.

Wadena's Delores Syrota scored the first 9 points of the championship game and didn't look back en route to a 11-1 rout of Ontario to win the 2017 Canadian Masters Women's Curling championships.

Syrota's rink consisted of Bev Krasowski (Third), Donna Liebrecht (Second) & Sylvia Broad (Lead).

For the very first time ever, the Yorkton Kinsmen Terriers are Midget AA Provincial champions.

The Terriers defeated the visiting Saskatoon River Kings 4-1 on Sunday afternoon from the FAA to win the Best of 3 championship series, 2 games to 1.

Congrats to Head Coach Chris Newans and the Terriers on their great season capturing the South Sask Hockey League title and provincial championship.

The Flin Flon Bombers and Nipawin Hawks will play a seventh and deciding game in their SJHL Semi-Final series, after the Bombers rolled to a 5-1 win on home ice in Game 6 Sunday night.

Brendan Newton made 33 saves on 34 shots for the Bombers in goal while Kristian St. Onge, Eric Sinclair, Greyson Reitmeier, Jason Lavallee & Nate Hooper provided the offence.

Eric Bolden had the lone marker for the Hawks.

The Bombers trailed the series 3-1, but back to back wins have the series heading back to the Whitney Forum for Game 7 on Tuesday night.

Brett Epp made 40 saves for the shutout while Tristan Elie had 2 goals, 2 assists to lead the OCN Blizzard to a 6-0 win over the Portage Terriers in Game 2 of the MJHL's Turnbull Cup Final.

Jeremy Dumont, Kyle Wiltshire, Keevan Daniels Webb and Daylon Campbell also scored for the Blizzard.

The Blizzard now lead the series 2-0, as the series shifts back to Portage for Games 3 & 4 on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
