Friday's Local Jr. A Recap

The Melville Millionaires' winning streak is over at three games, after the Flin Flon Bombers defeated the visiting Mils 3-1.

Zac Robidoux won his second straight start to begin the season, making 34/35 saves.  Dondre Watson scored, again, his 9th of the season in his seventh game, kick-starting the offense late in the second period.  The Bombers (5-1-1-0) would add two more in the third, thanks to Brody Madarash and Brandon Lesko.

Dayton Heino replied for the Millionaires (3-4-0-0) and rookie Colby Entz made 38/40 saves in goal.
The Mils/Bombers will once again meet tonight (Sat) at the Whitney Forum

In the MJHL,

The Swan Valley Stampeders had their record drop to 1-1 on the season after 3-2 defeat to the Dauphin Kings last night (Fri)

Carter McMurdo and Keaton Jameson scored for the Stamps while Kirklan Lycar led the way for the Kings with a hat trick.

Brett Evans made 23 saves in the losing cause for Swan, who are back in action tonight (Sat) when they host the Selkirk Steelers at 7:30PM Mb time


Also last night,

The Wayway Wolverines dropped their 3rd straight to start the season after a 4-3 loss to the visiting Virden Oil Capitals.

Ty Enns, Nathan Peabody and Riley Martin all scored for the Wolverines while Landon Poiron was solid making 42 saves in the losing cause.

Wolverines return back to home ice this evening (Sat) when they host the Steinbach Pistons
